untitled-2

From the To Kati Bloc of Amigoni Estate Vineyards in Centerview, Mo., comes the newest vintage of our signature wine –  2014 Cabernet Franc. This is the grape that started it all, and just wait until you taste it!

Join us for the release! We’re taking $3 off each bottle and $1 off each glass from Friday, Sept. 16 to Sunday, Sept. 18.

These grapes were handpicked and taken to our production facility in the Stockyards District of the West Bottoms. After fermentation, the wine was aged 18 months in local Missouri oak barrels.

Cabernet Franc is the parent grape of Cabernet Sauvignon. Even though the varietal shares DNA with Cabernet Sauvignon, they are very different. Cabernet Franc ripens about a week faster than Cabernet Sauvignon, making it more adaptable to cooler climates. Cabernet Franc grows best in sandy terroir, like the sandy loam soil at our vineyards.

Tasting notes

A gorgeous expression of fruit from start to finish. Round and lush on the palate with flavors of strawberry and raspberry, with a hint of vanilla and black pepper. Smooth tannins and notes of black pepper and oak linger on the finish.

Food pairing suggestions

This wine would be perfect to share around a pizza or pasta with meat sauce. It would also go nicely with braised meats with rosemary, short ribs or even a juicy cheeseburger.

On the cheese plate

Aged Gouda, Parmesan and sweet Gorgonzola
